Zimbabwean opposition leader suffering from colon cancer
Zimbabwean opposition leader, Morgan Tsvangirai is suffering from colon cancer discovered after a visit in a South African hospital. The leader of the Movement for Democratic Change (MDC), made his bill of health public on Monday after hospitalization in South Africa. “On May 8, 2016 my Zimbabwean doctors sent me to South Africa where an in-depth examination revealed that I was suffering from colon cancer,” he said in a statement.
Morgan Tsvangirai added that “As a leader and public figure, I decided to reveal my health so that it should not be the subject of speculation and uncertainty”. The 64 years old former Prime Minister of Zimbabwe, from 2009 to 2013, also said he had started chemotherapy after undergoing an operation.
