UK High Commissioner recommends peace as a key ingredient to the well-being of any society
Friends of the UK converged to pay tributes to fallen heroes of the two World Wars and subsequent ones on Sunday 12 November 2017 at the Limbe Botanical Garden. Moreover, it was an occasion to mark the centenary of the creation of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission which symbolises the UK’s commitment to remembering in perpetuity the 1.7 million men and women of the Commonwealth forces in more than one hundred and fifty countries who died in the two World Wars.
In recognition of the importance of peace to any society, Rowan Laxton said: Peace is the most important thing and we must do everything possible to protect, preserve and promote peace because the alternative is unthinkable.
