Yaounde: SDF MPs block Prime Minister Philemon Yang’s address to parliament
SDF parliamentarians have prevented the French Cameroun Prime Minister and Head of Government, Philemon Yang from delivering a speech at the National Assembly. The MPs say no discussing on the budget will take place without a debate on the crisis in Southern Cameroons.
Speaking on the antennas of Radio Equinoxe in Douala on Monday, November 27, 2017, the regional president of the SDF for the Littoral, Jean Mitchel Nintcheu, had reaffirmed that there would be no debate in the National Assembly as long as the question of the Anglophone crisis is not on the agenda.
“It is not possible to debate bills without the Anglophone problem being on the agenda,” warned Jean Michel Nintcheu. The French Cameroun Prime Minister however read out his presentation amid loud chanting from the SDF parliamentary group.
