Archbishop Sosthène Léopold Bayemi, Bishop of the Diocese of Obala in the Centre region of La Republqiue Du Cameroun has fired a priest for having contracted a marriage with a woman, contrary to the practices of the Holy Roman Catholic Church.

Rev. Father Abbé Léon Magloire Foe, reportedly got married to Ngono Alice Solange at the Ezezang Civil Status registry. His Lordship, Bishop Bayemi has therefore forbidden him to exercise the priestly ministry.

The priest, Léon Magloire Foe, is the father of several children some of whom a court in Yaoundé recently accorded him custody.
