General Benoit Asso’o Emane is no more!! Cameroon Intelligence Report has been reliably informed that the French Cameroun army general died early this morning at the National Social Insurance Fund (CNPS) hospital in Essos, the fifth district of the Yaounde metropolis.

General Benoit Asso’o Emane who retired from the Cameroon army in June 2017 was once a commander of the Cameroon Military Headquarters in Yaounde and occupies a special place in the history of the Biya regime, for being one of the officers who helped the regime to thwart the coup d’état of 06 April 1984 against President Biya.
