What sort of death threats have been directed against Barrister Sama Francis
The former president of the Cameroon Bar Council, Barrister Sama Francis has come under strong criticism and death threats over statements he made on the resumption of courts in West Cameroon. The Cameroon Anglophone Civil Society Consortium say Lawyer Sama must tender an apology to the people of Southern Cameroon for saying that he was ready to resume work.
The Consortium has maintained that Barrister Sama is a traitor. They have also indicated that the controversial Sama Francis has the right to change his position as an individual but not on issues concerning the Southern Cameroons Bar Council. Apart from his ill disguised attempt at reaping the family of the late business tycoon, Jean Tatsa, Barrister Sama Francis is among the Anglophone lawyers who have benefit from the Biya Francophone Beti Ewondo regime.
Dramatic U turn
Barrister Sama Francis recently said people misinterpreted his interview with The Post Newspaper and has reportedly ordered the news organ to do a rejoinder. Death threats have been issued against him and members of his family and the learned man of law has been told to make a disclaimer or face devastating consequences.
