Warning of imminent attack, terror alert in Garoua raised to maximum
Security services in the North region have warned that five Boko Haram suicide bombers reportedly entered Garoua in order to carry out suicide attacks.
La Republique’s security services say they are anticipating a wave of suicide bombings in the chief city in the North region, following the new modus operandi used by the Nigerian Islamic sect, Boko Haram.
Security officials are calling for greater vigilance in the large agglomerations of the North. The police and the gendarmerie have also called for the reinforcement of predictive intelligence, as well as the systematic search of passengers at various dams and accommodation facilities.
