Vice Chancellor of the University of Buea denied permission to leave the country
Information has filtered that the passport of Prof. Nalova Lyonga (CPDM) has been confiscated in Yaoundé by plain cloth police officers. Our chief intelligence officer in the nation’s capital is yet to confirm the correctness of this developing story. However, what we do know is that the Vice Chancellor of the University of Buea was prevented from boarding a flight at the Yaoundé Nsimalen international airport en route to the USA.
Immigration police at the airport have kept a deliberate silence when questioned on the seizure. The reasons behind this recent government action against Prof. Nalova Lyonga (CPDM) have not been made public. The Vice Chancellor was to travel out of the country late yesterday Sunday but was reportedly remanded in custody.
As pressure continues to mount on the Biya Francophone Beti Ewondo regime to investigate the killings and rape of students in the University of Buea, this woman who heartlessly unleashed the brutal and senseless security forces to rape, torture and killed the young girls may now face justice.
