UN Secretary General condemns Boko Haram suicide attacks in Cameroon
The UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon has condemned the suicide attacks that took place on the 29th of June in Djakana near Limani in Mayo-Sava Division in the Far North region of Cameroon. In a statement, Mr. Ban called for the continuation of the fight against the Nigerian Islamic sect, Boko Haram and presented his condolences to the families of the victims, the CPDM government and the Cameroonian people.
The UN official urged the international community to support the countries of the Lake Chad Basin Commission engaged through the Joint Multinational Force to eradicate Boko Haram. The French government has also condemned the attack which left 11 dead and 4 seriously injured.
