The killing of Bishop Jean Marie Bala was one of the most notorious crimes of the Yaounde regime
The Roman Catholic Bishops of Cameroon have affirmed Cameroon Intelligence Report investigation that His Lordship Bishop Jean Marie Benoit Bala of the Bafia Diocese was brutally assassinated. The Bishops observed in a strongly worded declaration that “Without waiting for the official conclusions of the investigation opened by the Attorney General of the Court of Appeal in the Center region, the Bishops of Cameroon assert that Bishop Jean Marie Benoit Bala was assassinated.”
The Bishops met on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 in Yaoundé to formally take a position on the tragic death of Bishop Jean Marie Benoit Bala on May 2017. At the end of the meeting, Archbishop Samuel Kleda, President of the National Episcopal Conference, made public an eleven point statement on what the Bishops of Cameroon think of the disappearance in disorderly conditions and the subsequent killing of the former Bishop of Bafia.
