Southern Cameroons: Three K-Town gang members arrested
A gang of three suspected robbers are now in police drag net in Kumba, the chief city in the Meme County in Southern Cameroons. The criminals are currently being held at the Kumba Central Police Station.
Aged 23, 19 and 25, the three presumed robbers were specialized in raiding of churches and residence of pastors and prominent men of God.
Cameroon Intelligence Report gathered that a magistrate in K-town was among the victims of the atrocities of the gang. They reportedly collected from the Kumba High Court judge the sum of 400,000 FCFA (610 euros) including a pistol.
Police sources in the Kumba County say the gang had an accomplice in the city that provided them with information. This alleged accomplice is still on the run.
The gang was presented to the press on Tuesday, with its booty, estimated at 10 million FCFA (15,000 euros). They will be presented to the State Counsel today Wednesday the 5th of July 2017.
