Southern Cameroons sergeant arrested in Bamenda
A sergeant serving with the French Cameroun’s 26th Mechanized Infantry Brigade in the Wum County in Southern Cameroon was arrested by members of the Bamenda gendarmerie alongside three other persons described by the head of the operation as accomplices.
Cameroon Intelligence Report was reliably informed that under the direct supervision of the man in uniform, the criminal gang imitated the signatures of senior administrative authorities and forged documents that were subsequently used for public service recruitment examinations.
French Cameroun government sources revealed that information discovered in laptop computers used by the group indicated they were fostering the activities of the outlawed Cameroon Anglophone Civil Society Consortium and the Southern Cameroons Governing Council classified as a terrorist organisations by the Yaoundé regime.
The Francophone dominated police force in the Bamenda Province noted that the four men had been practising these illegal activities for four years and they will be presented to the prosecutor in the next few days.
