A man is reported missing after a landslide that occurred on the 15th of August in the village of Essouala in the Lebialem County in Southern Cameroons.

Cameroon Intelligence Report gathered that the landslide also caused significant material damage on private property. Some classrooms and farming plantations were totally engulfed by the landslide.

Heavy rainfall reportedly caused the catastrophe. This is the third disaster that has hit the village after the landslide in 2012 and the floods last year that claimed the lives of three people.
