Southern Cameroons Crisis: Biya planning a new cabinet: Who’s in and who’s out?
A well-placed source has hinted that the 85 year old dictator, Paul Biya will soon leave the country for a short stay abroad after making public a new government. We understand Mr. Biya prior to the trip, has been secretly consulting for a few days in order to form a new cabinet. The same source revealed that Etoudi intends to get new Southern Cameroonians into the administration to manage the Anglophone crisis.
The names of two Southern Cameroonians who had long served the Biya Francophone regime have been listed among those who recently met with the President at Unity Palace on Wednesday the 13th of September 2017. They are Fai Yengo Francis, former Governor of the Littoral Region and Shey John Yembe, current Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Autonomous Port of Douala.
Our source maintained that the two men were summoned as possible replacement for Prime Minister Philemon Yang. However, Cameroon Intelligence Report sources noted that Fai Yengo and Yembe have agreed to be Deputy Prime and Minister for Justice respectively.
For six years, the leader of the CPDM consortium of crime syndicates has not formed a new Government. The last cabinet reshuffle dates precisely on December 9, 2011. But on October 2, 2015, the President of the Republic signed a decree reorganizing the government of La Republique du Cameroun.
