Southern Cameroons carnage continues unabated
Troops loyal to the Biya Francophone regime in Yaounde have reportedly killed four teenagers in Mutengene in the Fako County. Cameroon Intelligence Report gathered from eye witnesses that the four brothers were shot and their remains abandoned inside the sitting room of their family residence.
The four teenagers were killed on Sunday October 14 by members of a regiment of Francophone soldiers deployed to Southern Cameroons to crush the Ambazonia uprising. A statement from the Francophone governor’s office in Buea confirmed the killings but added that the teenagers were suspected separatists. A position denied by residents of the neighborhood.
There are conflicting reports after the local Mutengene police force observed that no weapon was found with the four following an intensive search of their home. There are fears of reprisals from armed Ambazonia groups against French Cameroun security forces.
Mutengene has witnessed an upsurge of violence in recent months after two Francophone security forces were killed by unidentified gun men.
