Buea Hemodialysis Centre Breaks Down:
Five years after its inauguration, the Buea Regional Hemodialysis Center faces problems. The Sun newspaper explains, patients with kidney diseases, undergoing routine dialysis at this center, staged a protest march to the South West governor’s office. Dr George Enow Orock, Director of the regional Hospital annex, Buea says 7 of the 8 dialysis machines at the Buea Hemodialysis Center, are bad and need to be repaired or replaced.
Nigerian Consulate in Buea Survives closure attempt:
Nigeria’s Consul General for the North West and South West regions in Cameroon, Dan Nwarim Nwazim, gives assurance that there is no plan in the future to close down his country’s diplomatic mission in Buea. The Rambler says, Nwarim, contradicts recent social media reports associating the present Nigerian economy situation with acute malaise that would have led to the closure of some of its diplomatic missions especially, the consulate in Buea Cameroon.
Security tightens in Ekondo Titi as pirates resurface:
Ekondo Titi’s Divisional Officer, Edwin Nkenya Ngwana congratulates the commander of the 21st Bafuma and his elements for the successful attack of the pirates in one of the fishing settlements in the area. The Times Journal emphasizes that the pirates were only forced to abandon their boats and go away. Therefore security measures must be high enforced to keep an eye on them.
