Son of former president of the Central African Republic arrested in Cameroon
After the arrest of Francis Bozize on August 5 by UN forces in the Central African Republic, another son of the former head of state of the Central African Republic, Papy Bozize was arrested on Wednesday August 10, 2016 by elements of the Cameroon secret service in the locality of Gamboula Kadie in the Eastern Region, as he walked in Cameroon.
Firmin Findiro alias Papy Bozize was found with huge amounts of money, several identity cards and cheque books. Yaounde and Bangui have not yet reported on the arrest. What we do know is that a Central African Republic national daily newspaper reported recently that the CPDM regime was actively involved in the politics of the impoverished nation.
At the time of filing this report, no charges had been brought against the son of the former President of the Central African Republic. Former president François Bozizé and his family are reportedly wanted by prosecutors in the Central African Republic for alleged acts of concealment, embezzlement of public funds and corruption.
Prior to his ouster in 2013 of his dad, Papy Bozize headed the Research and Investigation Division (IRS) of the National Gendarmerie which was actually the political police of the Bozizé regime.
