The Cameroon Cotton Development Corporation (Sodecoton), has a new general manager, Cameroon Intelligence Report has learned from reliable government sources.

Mohamadou Bayero Bounou, was appointed as head of Sodecoton after very intensive and productive debates during the recent board of directors meeting that held today morning in Yaounde the nation’s capital.

He has replaced Abdou Namba, who ran the company since June 25th, 2013. Created in 1974, the company is in crisis with net losses estimated at over 21 billion FCFA in the last three years.
