Rio 2016: Aureole Dogmo is our only hope for a gold medal
Wilfried Seyi, who appeared to be the standard bearer for Team Cameroon, lost on Friday the 12th of August 2016 against the Egyptian boxer, Hossam Hussein, in the 75 kg category. For their part, the Cameroonian volleyball squad recorded four defeats against Brazil, Japan, Russia and Argentina.
Our only hope for a gold medal now in RIO 2016 Olympics is Aureole Dogmo. She finished tenth in the final shot put on 17.22 beaten her own African qualification record which was 18.92.
The poor performance, 7 losses and just one qualification for Team Cameroon has started to raise controversy among sports and CPDM officials, who were heard murmuring privately that the government allocated 1 billion 300 million FCFA for the participation of Cameroonian athletes in the Olympic Games.
