The family of Cameroon football legend, Rigobert Song say he is still in a coma at the Messa district hospital in Yaounde. The local press has not been given access to the ward where Song is receiving treatment.  However, a very flippant but reliable source told Cameroon Intelligence Report that all is being done as regards paperwork for a medical evacuation to Europe.

A sister publication, Cameroon-info.net confirmed the news that the former skipper of the Lions of Cameroon was still in a coma but added that his condition was improving positively. Song reportedly suffered from a haemorrhagic stroke at his home in Yaounde in the early hours of Sunday, October 2, 2016.
