Putin signaled Russia’s readiness to face West’s Cold War
A former US Senate foreign policy analyst say President Vladimir Putin’s state of the nation address, during which he unveiled an array of nuclear-capable weapons, sent a signal to the US and the West that Moscow stands ready to face them in the Cold War they seek to wage against Russia.
In an interview with Press TV on Saturday, James Jatras warned against any escalation of the situation given that “we have been in a Cold War at least through the past two or three years.”
US President Donald Trump, he added, could take his next move against Russia to other places, especially Syria, where the two sides have a clash of interests, adding that the repercussions of any confrontation between the two sides would be “very dangerous.”
