Prime Minister Philemon Yang to be swept out in coming shake-up
A reliable source has revealed that the 84 year old Cameroonian dictator, Paul Biya has held a secret consultation meeting with the Prime Minister and Head of Government, Yang Philemon on an impending cabinet reshuffle. Our source hinted that the Chief Executive is considering changing the Philemon Yang administration.
Our informant pointed out that the new government will be headed by Biya’s next-of-kin. Already behind the scenes, there are under-the-table talks that Biya has decided to entrust the office of Prime Minister to the current Minister of Finance, Alamine Ousmane Mey who will subsequently be elected as the National Chairman of the ruling Cameroon Peoples Democratic Movement.
Cameroon Intelligence Report understands, President Biya held a one-and-one with Philemon Yang last Wednesday in Mvomeka during which he reportedly thanked Yang Philemon and wished him well. The Biya-Yang meeting added our source looked like a final goodbye to the illustrious son of Oku in the Bamenda province of Southern Cameroons. We also gathered that there shall be a massive reduction of ministerial portfolios.
