Paris Climate Summit: Biya meets French President Macron, UN Secretary General
President Biya was one of the 50 Heads of State and Government who took part in the international climate summit yesterday, 12 December 2017, called “One Planet Summit” in Paris. Cameroon Intelligence Report understands the forum that held in France was aimed to mobilize international funding for the implementation of the Paris Agreement on Climate signed in 2015.
Biya was also at the Elysee Palace where he met French President Emmanuel Macron and held a short conversation with the UN Secretary General, Guterres including the President of the World Bank. The UN Secretary General is under French influence to ignore the crisis in Southern Cameroons.
We gathered Biya and Macron addressed the crucial issues of the day in Cameroon, including the security situation in Southern Cameroons and the 2018 presidential elections.
