October 1:Tensions rise amid possibility of French Cameroun provocation
The date October 1, 2017 is now of serious concern to the Biya Francophone Beti Ewondo regime. The reason being that the Southern Cameroons Governing Council and the people of Southern Cameroons have chosen that day to proclaim the independence of the territory. Francophone political elites are now worried and as a precautionary measure including fear of what might happen on that day, they are pulling their kids out from most of the schools in Southern Cameroons especially since various attacks and overflows during the demonstrations last weekend sent shock waves around the world.
Southern Cameroons lawyers from the North West Lawyers Association, the Fako Lawyers Association and the Manyu Lawyers Association have cancelled their meeting that was slated for September the 23rd even though they had received permission to do so from a Francophone colonial officer Mochi Johnson Malafa passing for the Sub-Prefect of Mamfé.
We got intelligence that the lawyers were cautioned by the Southern Cameroons Governing Council to be mindful of the killings currently going on in Southern Cameroons and not to make any pro Yaounde statement that will put them at daggers-drawn positions with the Southern Cameroons majority following.
Francophone administrative authorities have been active for the maintenance of law and order. In the Bamenda counties, French Cameroun appointed Prefects have banned public demonstrations in their area of command until 7 October. However, our chief intelligence officers in Buea, Mamfe, Bamenda, Kumba, Mumdemba, Tiko, Muyuka, Kumbo, Victoria have all hinted that Southern Cameroonians will not respect the measures of the French Cameroun authorities. The Southern Cameroons Ambazonia Governing Council networks are going ahead with mobilisation for this deadline.
