Nigeria: Trial begins of man who named his dog Buhari
The man, who was arrested for naming his dog Buhari, has appeared in court. The court accused him of conducting himself to cause breach of peace. Joachim Chinakwe reportedly pleaded not guilty. He was arraigned in before a Sango Magistrate Court, Ogun state on Monday, August 22.
The 40-year-old man was arrested for naming his dog Buhari on August 13, 2016, at Ketere area of Sango Ota. The charge document stated that the trader was said to have behaved himself in a manner probably to cause breach of peace by naming his dog Buhari and parading it at the Hausa section of Ketere market in Sango area.
