Minister Amadou Ali’s Health: Deterioration doesn’t give us good signs for the future
The current Vice Prime Minister in charge of Relations with the Assemblies, Amadou Ali is reportedly a living corpse; Cameroon Intelligence Report has been reliably informed by a well-placed source in Yaoundé. Our senior correspondent hinted that Ali’s vital organs are beginning to shutdown as his medical condition deteriorates.
The so-called CPDM patriarch of the Far North region has not been seen in any public ceremony for more than a year now. President Biya recently authorized the Minister of Labour and Social Security, Gregoire Owona whose health is also under intense public scrutiny to deputize for Minister Ali. Amadou Ali took ill after he suffered a partial stroke at the peak of his political career and was evacuated to France.
Ali remains one of Biya regime’s most iconic figures and his career stretched across the late President Ahidjo and Biya administrations. Speaking to our undercover reporter, a Francophone CPDM baron observed that Amadou Ali’s life is approaching its end as there is a slow and gradual deterioration in his condition.
Cameroon government spokesman and minister of communication, Issa Tchiroma who also collapsed at his home in Yaoundé last week had long refused to provide a prognosis on the Vice Prime Minister’s health. A cabinet minister from the Far North region was heard murmuring privately that looking at the trend of deterioration; it doesn’t give Amadou Ali good signs for the future.
