Messi en route to Premiership
Roman Abramovich recently invited Jorge Messi’ and Leo’s agent to his luxury yacht, Eclipse, to evoke a possible transfer of the Argentinean to Chelsea. The Chelsea owner is ready to write a cheque for 130 million Euros to Barcelona which would make Messi the most expensive player in history. Abramovich has also promised an annual salary of some € 36 million.
Our sports desk is aware Chelsea is not the only behemoth English team dreaming to sign Lionel Messi. Manchester City is hoping the star will love a reunion with Pep Guardiola. City bosses are planning a meeting with the entourage of the Barcelona striker and the figures given by an English tabloid The Sun are even more disproportionate. This time, it is indeed an annual salary of 49 million.
