Massive military operation begins in the Far North
Cameroon has deployed thousands of its special forces in the localities of Gansé and Mora in the Mayo-Sava division in the Far North. Cameroon Intelligence Report was reliably informed that over sixty illegal immigrants were arrested in a massive operation which started Sunday August 28th 2016.
A majority of those arrested were foreign nationals. The governor of the Far North region, Midjiyawa Bakary observed that the military operatives were essentially to restore peace and tranquillity in the department of Mora.
The governor has also ordered the closure of the main livestock market known as Grandma. Grandma is the largest cattle market in Mayo-Sava department.
