Legislative Violence: SDF comes under attack from Marcel Niat Njifenji and Cavaye Yéguié Djibril
Marcel Niat Njifenji and Cavaye Yéguié Djibril have both denounced the boycott action staged by the Social Democratic Front of Ni John Fru Ndi during the so-called May 20th National Day celebration. Both Francophone leaders on the 8th of June 2017 in Yaoundé made a mockery of the Anglophone crisis in their opening speeches in both the Lower and Upper House.
Marcel Niat Njifenji, Leader of the Senate and Cavaye Yéguié Djibril, Speaker of the National Assembly criticized the Social Democratic Front and the Cameroon People’s Party in their respective opening speeches for supporting Southern Cameroonians. Cavaye Yéguié Djibril even suggested that the SDF invited others political parties to boycott the feast of Unity.
Both Niat and Cavaye painted the SDF as extremist political association. The Biya acolytes welcomed the fact that the SDF appeal was not followed by many Cameroonians. The two handpicked leaders congratulated the Cameroonian people for they said was an exceptional mobilization observed on 20 May 2017.
