Nigerian authorities have announced that there is an outbreak of lassa fever in the country.

Lassa fever falls within the Ebola family, but it is less dangerous than Ebola.

More than 40 persons have already lost their lives due to the deadly fever and there are fears the number might rise in the days ahead.
