La Republique: Lions have still not received the President Biya 9 million FCFA special bonus
It has emerged that the Cameroonian football players who won the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations have not received the nine million FCFA promised by the President of the Republic. Some of the players including Adolphe Teikeu of FC Sochaux in France have broken the silence they maintained ever since they joined their respective clubs.
Following the victory of the Indomitable Lions at the African Cup of Nations Gabon 2017, the Cameroonian dictator Paul Biya received the players at the Unity Palace and allocated each player a special bonus of nine million CFA francs. The Ministry of Finance through its permanent representative within the board of the Cameroon Football Federation ordered disbursements.
However, Adolphe Teikeu revealed today that the players have not yet received Mr. Biya’s gratification. The Biya Special Bonus scandal has come just a week after the Head Coach, Hugo Bross told the world that the Lions were barred from having lunch in a Brussels hotel over unpaid bills.
