Joel Matip is now a Liverpool player. The Cameroonian defender was officially presented last week at his new club. The former central defender of Schalke 04 had his presentation ceremony staged at Anfield (home of Liverpool) on the 1^st of July 2016.

Matip observed that “Liverpool is a great club and I also know the coach Jurgen Klopp, while he was at Borussia Dortmund”.  He added that the decision to leave Schalke was difficult to take.
