Minister Issa Tchiroma announced his presence back in the country late yesterday and confirmed he was in Europe for a private mission. “Yes, as some people said on social media, I was actually abroad, but like my collaborators said, I’m fine, I’m in good health,” said the Minister of Communication.

Issa Tchiroma Bakary was returning from a private visit in Europe and reportedly scheduled a press conference for this week to communicate government actions or to respond to attacks against the regime of the 84 year old Paul Biya.

The Minister of Communication Issa Tchiroma Bakary who also moonlights as government spokesman disappeared from the public eye on Thursday, June 29th 2017 after a board meeting at the state radio and television production center at Mballa II in Yaounde.

Tchiroma, usually a controversial and conspicuous figure at press conferences will be speaking of the Bishop Bala affair and CAF’s threats to Cameroon over the hosting of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations
