How do you describe President Trump in one word?
The Quinnipiac University pollsters have asked voters to describe US President Donald Trump in one word. According to the results released Tuesday, the majority of the voters, 53 percent, came up with the word “idiot,” when asked to name the first word that comes to mind.
Another 44 percent responded “liar” and 36 percent said “incompetent,” in the poll, which gave them an open-ended choice.
Meanwhile, 35 percent said “strong” and the same number came up with the word “leader.”
Nineteen percent of the voters also responded with other words, including “a****le,” “great” and “moron.”
“President Donald Trump is known for hurling insults and he’s getting slammed right back. ‘Idiot’ is just one of a string of insults thrown his way by American voters,” said Tim Malloy, the assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Poll.
“Incompetent” topped the list in a previous poll conducted by ABC News and Washington Post in September.
A Quinnipiac poll in August found that most of the voters describe Trump as “strong,” with “idiot” and “incompetent” coming as the second and third.
Since he appeared in office, the billionaire-turned-president’s policies have disappointed some of his supporters and strengthened the voice of opposition in the United States.
Trump is also facing pressure over allegations of collusion with Russia as well as sexual assault.
