Geneva: Biya declares a day of national mourning
From Geneva in Switzerland where he is, the Cameroonian head of state has declared a day of national mourning. The 83 year old dictator decreed that tomorrow the 24th of October 2016 will be in memory of victims of the rail accident that occurred on Friday in Eseka in the Nyong-et –Kellé Division of the Central region.
The Biya decree noted that flags will be at half-mast across the country in memory of the victims. The death toll has continued to rise and is now approaching 70.
