Garoua: Fire destroys Premier International Bilingual Nursery School
The famous Premier International Bilingual Nursery in Garoua, situated at the Soweto neighbourhood has been destroyed by fire. The incident occurred on Sunday the 9th of October 2016.
The principal of the school, Ndile Denis recounted that the source of the fire was unknown. He added that the disaster occurred some 25 minutes after he employed a plumber and an electrician to resolve the problem of water shortage in the school borehole.
The electrician reported told the school head that the water shortage came as a result of a bad metal that had to be replaced. Shortly after this revelation, the principal could receive a call announcing that the establishment was in flames. He immediately alerted fire fighters, who brought the situation under control.
No life was lost but some classrooms including stationery and benches were greatly shattered by the fire. The damage was estimated at some 5million FCFA.
