A Garanti Express VIP bus with 25 people on board en route to Yaounde has crashed into a valley trying to avoid a collision with a truck transporting timber. One passenger was killed and 18 seriously injured.  The accident occurred this Tuesday morning, August 23, 2016 at Missole, at the outskirts of Douala.

Eye witness report say the bus driver attempted to dodge the truck that was traveling in the opposite direction from Yaounde and was forced to leave the road.  The vehicle was found at the bottom of a ravine. The 18 injured were urgently taken to the hospital Laquintini Douala.
