French Cameroun: Boko Haram attack kills 5 including CPDM Section President
A suicide bomber has killed 5 people this morning in the Sanda-Wadjiri locality, Kolofata district, Mayo-Sava Division in the Far North region of La Republique du Cameroun. Cameroon Intelligence Report learned that among the dead were Boukar Yasalou, CPDM Section President of the local branch of the Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement and the kamikaze who staged the attack early this morning in a mosque.
6 other people were seriously wounded. Villages in the Kolofata district, a border crossing in Nigeria, are among the Cameroonian communities that have paid the highest price in the war against the Nigerian Islamic sect, Boko Haram.
The militants regularly carry out armed attacks, suicide attacks, which result in deaths, kidnappings, destruction of property and theft of cattle. At least 2000 civilians and soldiers have been killed in Cameroon ever since the war against Boko Haram was declared by President Biya.
