Francophone CPDM MP dies in Maroua
Two CPDM Members of Parliament will not be in the nation’s capital, Yaoundé next month for the second parliamentary session in 2017. The Speaker of the National Assembly, Honorable Cavaye Yeguie Djibril, issued a communiqué in the afternoon of Monday, May 15, 2017, announcing the death of Honorable Madjelé, Member of Parliament for the Mayo- Kani Nord constituency in the Far North Region.
Cavaye Yeguie Djibril said that Madjelé died on Sunday May 14 from an undisclosed illness at the Regional hospital in Maroua. Member of the Foreign Affairs Committee, the deceased attended the first session of the legislative year 2017 in March.
Of the 180 deputies elected in 2013, Madjelé is the second disappearance registered this year in the National Assembly after the death on February 28, 2017 of the Honorable Joseph Mboui, a former minister of National Education and CPDM MP for the Sanaga-Maritime in the Littoral Region.
