Francophone Beti-Ewondo Diplomacy: Another Yaounde is Cameroon ambassador to the US
The new Cameroon ambassador to the US has met US President Barack Obama in the Oval Office of the White House on Monday. Henri Etoundi Essomba went to present his credentials to the US President. The new Ambassador of Cameroon was appointed by presidential decree signed April 11, 2016.
Ambassador Henri Etoundi Essomba had served previously in Israel. A native of Yaounde, where he was born on March 2, 1949, he holds a 3rd cycle doctorate from the Institute of International Relations of Cameroon (IRIC) Yaounde. The ceremony was attended by the Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs at the State Department, Bruce Wharton.
