Former Prime Minister Mafany Musonge steps down from the Senate
Peter Mafany Musonge the Chairman of the so-called National Commission for the Promotion of Bilingualism and Multiculturalism has resigned from the Senate. The former Prime Minister who still moonlights as Grand Chancellor of the National Orders, made the decision public today Wednesday the 5th of July 2017 during a plenary session of the Upper House at the Palais des Congrès in Yaoundé.
The Musonge decision was announced by the leader of the Senate, Marcel Niat Njifenji. The statement delivered to the House noted that Senator Peter Mafany Musonge, aged 75 has decided to resign from the Senate to concentrate on his new duties as President of the National Commission for the Promotion of Bilingualism and Multiculturalism.
Appointed by presidential decree on Wednesday 15 March 2016 as head of the ruling CPDM Senate Group, Peter Mafany Musonge will now be fully involved in the leadership of the National Commission for the Promotion of Bilingualism and Multiculturalism- a dubious body created by the Biya Francophone regime whose mission is to propose solutions for maintaining peace, consolidating the unity of Cameroon and strengthening the Cameroonian will and daily practice of living together.
