Eto’o cancels charity match in Turkey
Cameroon football legend, Samuel Eto’o has cancelled the charity match organized to celebrate 10 years of existence of the Samuel Eto’o Foundation. The organizers of the event have issued a public statement saying the security situation in Turkey though under control will not be able to sustain a popular event such as the charity encounter.
The match that was scheduled for today in Antalya, Turkey, will no longer be staged. The controversial Turkish President Erdogan who is now fighting for his political survival was a guest at the prestigious charity match. The airports are closed following an attempted coup. Football stars will no longer make the trip.
