Douala-Yaounde Death Trap: Dozens of soldiers injured
Scores of Cameroonian soldiers are receiving treatment at a medical facility in Douala, Littoral region after a ghastly accident on Friday January 11 on the Douala-Yaounde highway, Cameroun Journal has reported.
The accident occurred at Missole II village just after Dibamba when the driver of a 32-seater bus from the Amigo travel agency transporting soldiers lost control of his vehicle, sources said.
Most of the soldiers were immediately rushed to the Douala military hospital where they have been receiving medical attention.
The soldiers were reportedly heading to Bafia for a funeral rite of their fallen colleague when the accident occurred.
