Koffi Olomide was arrested this morning at his home by police in Congo Kinshasa following an order from a state prosecutor.

The arrest is a follow up to the scandal in Nairobi which the artist in a video gave a violent kick to one of his dancers in front of television cameras.

The violence from Koffi attracted worldwide condemnation. The star had seen his concerts canceled in Kenya and Zambia.
