Barcelona have held a training session ahead of their very interesting group stage encounter with their former manager Pep Guardiola and his Premier League leading Manchester City.

The Catalans are 4th in La Liga but played well in their game on Saturday as they thrashed Deportivo La Coruna 4-nil, with their Argentine wizard Lionel Messi scoring on his return from an injury.

Barca have won their first two group matches against Celtic and Borussia Monchengladbach. But, there is some bad news for manager Luis Enrique as he will be without the services of Jordi Alba and Sergi Roberto due to injuries.

The Catalan giants have also won their last 4 matches against Manchester City in all competitions, meaning that Barca will have a higher chance to grab all three points from Wednesday’s encounter. Barcelona lead Group C with six points, two ahead of City.
