Cameroon holds conference for a digitized archive documentation system
A round table conference to pave the way for a digitized archive documentation system in Cameroon held on Friday the 24th of June 2016 at the Advanced School of Mass Communication-ASMAC in Yaounde. The forum was organized by the renowned French Archivist, Eric Bonnemaison grouping mostly students of the Archivist and Library documentation department of ASMAC.
During the atelier, the Director of ASMAC Professor Boyomo Charles Assala expressed optimism about the outcome of the exchanges. The students were accorded a rare privilege to acquire more knowledge on digitized archives especially as Eric Bonnemaison promised to make available more training workshops in the nearest future. Mr. Bonnemaison’s presentations mostly focused on the advantages of digitizing the public and private sector administration document. To him, the system is safer as no document can get missing or infected by a virus.
