Boko Haram strikes Cameroon again, kills 10
The Nigerian Islamic sect, Boko Haram carried out a suicide attack late on Wednesday in the village of Djakana near Limani in the Far North region along the border with Nigeria. After several months of calm, Boko Haram staged Wednesday’s attack in an entertainment center where young people had gathered to watch a movie.
Our chief intelligence officer in Maroua is yet to confirm the death toll. But what we do know is that 10 people were killed immediately after the explosion that destroyed the video club.
A reporter with a sister publication Cameroon Concord News hinted at the time of filing this report that 7 other people were seriously injured with 4 bearing life threatening wounds. Cameroon Intelligence Report understands that our security forces have taken samples of the debris at the site of the explosion.
