Cameroon government spokesman and Minister of Communication has confirmed a Cameroon Concord News report on the killing of 4 soldiers in Kembong village in Eyumojock Sub Division during a bloody clash that took place on Monday, December 18, 2017 between what Issa Tchiroma Bakary described as terrorists and Cameroonian defense and security forces. Kembong is a locality in Manyu Division, Southwest Region.

Tchiroma held the press briefing at the conference room of his ministerial department and observed that the report was first made public by a private media outlet since mid-day Monday. According to testimonies, several wounded have been registered among the civilian population and there is a massive flight of people from Kembong village and its surroundings.
