President Biya who left the country ever since Sunday, September 18, 2016 for the United States of America, has reportedly signed and released on Tuesday, September 20, 2016, a decree that appointed the so called senior civil administrator, Essoa Eloi Gabriel to the post of Secretary General of the  Yaounde City Council.

This post has been vacant since its former occupant, Alphonse Ondoa Akoa, was promoted in February 2016, as the general manager of CAMWATER (Cameroon Water Utilities). Gabriel Essoa Eloi is the current Senior Divisional Officer for the Haut-Nkam Division in the Western Region appointed since September, 2014.
