Bishop Bala funeral: Gendarmerie officer dies in dramatic crash
A new drama has been added to the late Bishop Jean-Marie Benoît Bala affair. One of the military drivers transporting the remains of the late Bishop during the funeral procession towards Bafia on Wednesday afternoon, after the removal of the body and the requiem mass in the morning died from an accident that occurred in Efok near Obola.
Cameroon Intelligence Report gathered that the motorcyclist of the funeral procession collided with a vehicle occupied by five people and were immediately evacuated to a hospital in Yaoundé, were Officer Bouba Gauthier finally gave up. He was a gendarmerie officer attached to the road brigade of the Secretariat of Defense (SED).
The Bishop Bala funeral continues at the cathedral in Bafia with requiem masses every three hours- at 9pm, at 00h, at 03h and at 06h. The mass 10 am mass today Thursday will be followed by burial.
